So, I’ve been wanting to incorporate Marty into So, I’ve been wanting to incorporate Marty into the pack walk, but just hadn’t gotten around to it yet. Well, today was as good a day as any to do just that. It certainly was a good redirect for Judge, Chantz & me ❤️🐾🐾❤️
Thank you to each & every one of you who has reach Thank you to each & every one of you who has reached out to Mike & I after the sudden & unexpected loss of Nash early yesterday.
I found these words in a text from a friend after “forcing” Chantz to go out for morning potty break this morning…..”One foot in front of the other!”
WOW - these words truly spoke to me! And here’s why…..

As I got out of bed & head down the hall to let the boys out, it hit me like a ton of bricks who wasn’t waiting to greet me in the living room entry like he had been doing every morning for the last 6 years. The overwhelming rush of sadness made me stop dead. I just couldn’t move - literally. I had to force every step. How odd it was to find this message from 1 friend & the attached picture from another on my phone after literally having to force Chantz out the door. Their routine is also so very broken & I see them both struggling in their own way right now. They especially wait for him to come out with them & look for him when they come back inside. I swear I heard his inpatient whimpers of anticipation as I was making breakfast!!

Thank you again for everyone’s support ❤️🐾🐾❤️
I don’t even know how to write this. But the ne I don’t even know how to write this. But the news I got is not good. Once Nash was intubated, they were able to get the other x-rays & they found a large mass in his chest pressing on his airway; which is why he is having difficulty breathing. It may also be the cause of his vomiting. There is nothing they can do for him & she recommends putting him to sleep. I didn’t see this coming! I can’t wrap my head around this! What’s harder to accept is that I didn’t get to say a proper goodbye. I had no idea this was going to be the hand we were dealt. Nash is currently sedated & still intubated, but I’m not sure it’s right to wake him up to just put him to sleep (not even sure we can do that). I don’t want him struggling to breath as we say goodbye. But his last moments awake were with strangers as he struggled. He must have been so scared wondering where we were!! I regret coming home - I should have stayed there. OMG THIS SUCKS!!!!!

And, we only lost Kai 5 months ago. 💔

JUST A DOG/CAT MOM?????….. I can’t stand it wh JUST A DOG/CAT MOM?????…..
I can’t stand it when people say, “But you’re just a dog/cat mom.”. Yes - I am a dog/cat mom! That makes me a cook, snack bestower, maid, litter box cleaner, staff, teacher, nurse, referee, walking companion, poop patroller, paw taxi, ambulance if necessary, photographer, event planner, groomer, manicurest, bilingual, thumbs to 6 paws, hairball cleaner, recipient of unconditional love by creatures who actually want to spend time with me…..to name a few. I don’t get paid Holidays, sick pay, or days off. I work day & night. I am on call 24/7 for the rest of their lives. But that’s JUST BEING A DOG/CAT MOM!! I may not be anything to you. But I am everything to them. I would do anything for them! And I wouldn’t want it any other way! ❤️🐾🐾❤️

We don’t whisper, we reward!

Dogs don’t care about money. They care about praise, food and fun. Positive Reinforcement or Force Free training works by using praise, positive actions and rewards, rather than punishment or correction, to teach your dog what you expect from them. The key with this type of training is to determine what motivates your dog, and then to use that motivator as a reward to reinforce the correct behavior. In positive reinforcement dog training you can use treats, toys, physical affection, verbal praise, a clicker or a combination of any of these items, to reward your dog for correct behavior.
